DAY ONE
On your arrival, we will be there at the airport to welcome
you with palms clasped together and the gentle bow of the head
that accompanies the “Ayubovan”, Sri Lankan’s traditional
gesture of welcome and respect.
From there we will drive you in air-conditioned
comfort to The Culture Club Resort in Dambula. Lunch will be arranged
for you at The Culture Club Resort. Your dinner and overnight
stay too will be arranged here so that you can relax the rest
of the day to overcome your travel fatigue.
DAY TWO
After breakfast we proceed to Dambula arriving at the Wasgamuwa
Safari Village hotel for lunch. After lunch there is fishing and
boating in the Dunuwila Lake, situated in front of the hotel,
overlooking the Sri Lankan Knuckles Mountain Range. Dinner and
overnight stay will be at the Wasgamuwa Safari Village.
DAY THREE
At 6 a.m. we proceed to Mahiyangana Sorabora by van (duration
of one hour) to visit the Veddhas, who are the original inhabitants
of our island. We next proceed to the Mahiyangala Dagoba, a very
important place for Buddhists as according to history, Lord the
first of the three visits of Lord Buddha to Sri Lanka are registered
in this Dagoba. Lunch will be at Mahiyangana after which you will
go on an hour’s walk through the jungle to witness the eye
catching Ratna Falls, a natural waterfall with several layers
running through a beautiful eco-cultured forest. Then back to
the Wasgamua Safari hotel late in the evening for dinner and overnight
stay.
DAY FOUR
At 6.00 a.m. we proceed to the Knuckles Mountain Range by
van, a tour of an hour and a half, to have breakfast at the mountain
range and come down the mountain through picturesque jungle passing
water streams, tropical flora and the country side. One hours
walk through the jungle to this eye-catching water falls. We then
head back to the hotel late in the evening for dinner and overnight
stay.
DAY FIVE
At 6.00 a.m. we proceed to the Knuckles Mountain Range, a
tour of an hour, to have breakfast at the Ranamure Village, after
which we start climbing the famous Lucky Gala through a beautiful
Eco cultured forest. On reaching the top of the mountain, you
get a very good view over Polonnaruwa, another Ancient City. Lunch
will be in the jungle surrounded with natural flora. Then we proceed
to the hotel on bicycles and in the evening there is boating and
fishing in the Dunuwila Lake, situated in front of the hotel,
overlooking the Knuckles group of mountains. We could make arrangements
for a night safari along the boundary of the park, the duration
of which would be between 2-3 hours. Dinner and overnight stay
will be at the Wasgamuwa Safari hotel.
DAY SIX
After breakfast we depart for Kandy. In the afternoon we visit
the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens and the Temple of the Tooth and
also experience a Kandyan Dance Performance (complimentary by
Travel World (Pvt) Ltd). Dinner and overnight stay will be at
Le Kandyan Hotel.
